I agree.I also can understand how people would feel as though the validation and reasoning behind the Napster case loses ground when they only go after people who share files when for years people have been copying tapes, movies etc. why is it that file sharing was the one they chose to go after the hardest and with the most severe penalties?
I guess that part is still puzzling me to a certain extent and I also believe that if they are going to crack down on file sharing that violates copyright laws then they should also go against CD burners, and people who buy dvds from the video stores and copy them and sell them on EBAY. I know that was an extreme example but I just dont believe that when it comes to copyright laws that the hammer should come down hardest on file sharing. I mean lets think about it. There is a multimillion dollar industry in most major cities where people sell bootleg CD's and videos. They just started coming down on those people hard core after Napster. Does that mean they weren't violating copyright laws b-4 then? It just doesn't make sense.
