I disagree, I think Lexis Nexus has a right to refuse service to anyone, especially if it a non-paying customer like a University which writes something that is "critical" of their quality of service.

Lexis Nexus gives University's almost free access of their database to promote education.

Because the CSU library got numerous complaints concerning the slow service of the Lexis Nexus database, the library put up a sign that Lexis Nexus found to be "critical" of their service.

I believe that the CSU library was in no position to critique service that were getting virtually free of charge.

Furthermore, I think Lexis Nexus just wanted to make a statement that if you are unhappy with our service, then don't use it. If it were me giving away free access to the Lexis Nexus database, I would be highly offended if a University were unhappy with my service and put up a sign saying so.
