I worked in Unemployment Insurance as late as 1960 and we had 2 major laundries...the one of So. William [Johson's] and one on Liberty St. Then that had to be Newburgh Laundry...They never laid anyone of due to a lcak of work...but folks who could not stand the heat and hard work tried to collect, but almost always failed.

If we could get #2 to answer, chances are he knew who owned those laundries...
