Thanks, BJ! Actually The Palatine Shop is a standalone business all to itself that started in December of 2008. We started it in our former space within the art supply shop to educate our customers about Newburgh's rich history. (Because we are the only art supply store for many miles around we get customers regularly from as far away as Port Jervis/PA, Rockland County and even Connecticut- 99% of our customers are from out of town.) We recently moved the shop to 5 Grand Street- the former St. Pat's Convent- and now have an entire room dedicated to The Palatine Shop. And just like in the olden days, we're living in the top two floors of the building. This past Sunday we were included in the Historical Society's Candlelight Tour, the first time 5 Grand Street was ever on it. We have incredible views of the river towards Storm King and Washington's Headquarters. Check out our website that lists some of the many things we sell.... www.ThePalatineShop.com
