Oh, it was so tempting to find him and grant him one last quip before abandoning the rogue, having had the last shot herself. Ah, well, just as the fighting, their verbal barrage had ended even, both getting in their remarks. Anyways, she couldn't go back on her word now- she'd said she wouldn't follow him. Instead, the ess turned her sepia painted bodice from the direction of the Dark's retreat and headed home, where there would undoubtedly be something more entertaining- if not that, then more dignified- than chasing her opponent to the far ends of the Earth. More worthwhile, too.
Still...it did irk her so that he had still called her 'babe'. That word wasn't meant for his lips.
No worries now, time to move on.
