It's always difficult to analyze writing without seeing it or being able to ask questions about how exactly it looks, but what you are describing sounds like the trait of jealousy.
A small, tight knot - a loop drawn anti-clockwise at the top of the I, M or N is jealousy, but it must be a very small, tight loop. If it is large, or even moderate size in comparison to the rest of the writing, it is not jealousy.
