Frankie to sit on Board on Wednesday

FRANKIE DETTORI will renew his relationship with Ouija Board on Wednesday morning as he putsthe superstar filly through her paces ahead of the pair’s date in Hong Kong’s Queen Elizabeth II Cup on April 23.

As revealed in the Racing Post last week, Dettori will ride the daughter of Cape Cross in competitive action at Sha Tin for the first time since he steered her to victory in the Princess Royal Stakes at Newmarket last September, and he is understandably keen to get back on board.

Speaking after Urban Warrior had initiated a double for him in Folkestone’s opener on Wednesday, Dettori said: "I will ride her tomorrow. She's a classy filly and I've won on her before. I'm looking forward to going out there to ride her again."

David Elsworth will pack Norse Dancer off on his travels again this Friday when the globetrotting six-year-old heads of to Hong Kong for a tilt at the Audemars Piguet-sponsored Group 1 event.

Norse Dancer finished a well-beaten eighth of 14 in the Dubai Sheema Classic at Nad Al Sheba on his last start when things did not work out as hoped, but Elsworth reports himto be in fine shape ahead of his latest journey.

He said: “Norse Dancer is in good order having failed to run his race in Dubai where he had a foot problem and didn’t handle the bend too well.

“He ran on perfectly well at the end and this is probably an easier race with money going down to the first six. Darryll Holland will ride as John Egan is required for my runners in the Classic trials.”
