BIRKES K .4011 4.7533 145.40
MOSER D .4624 4.7795 135.05
REID R .4142 4.7930 146.72
LIGON J .4632 4.8324 144.18
HEROD L .4378 4.8389 148.37
THOMPSON B .4220 6.7725 63.57
REID L .4324 4.6926 152.03
THOMAS M .4558 4.6874 152.96
ROACH E .4891 4.5930 151.57

David had his dialed in, but the rest of the field seemed to have a little trouble. Cody Cypert broke in the burnout and Allen Powell had ignition problems.

SECOND QUALIFY

NAME RT ET MPH
THOMAS M .4565 4.7109 152.23
REID L .4124 4.7166 151.46
HEROD L .4475 4.7295 153.06
MOSER D .4459 4.8278 142.99
THOMPSON B .4395 4.8732 145.26
BIRKES K .3987 5.8931 81.88
REID R .3977 6.0415 83.19
BALDWIN D .4857 4.6527 143.77
CYPERT C .2693 4.6428 149.40
ROACH E .7540 4.5873 148.91

Mat and Laramie get theirs slowed down to some good numbers. Cody Cypert (new member) makes his first run with OTS in his crowd pleasing blown Nova and is a little too fast. This car is a great addition to our field. The only bad news of the night was that Jay Ligon (re-new member) in the US Army truck had a major engine failure in his burnout for this session.

FINAL QUALIFY

NAME RT ET MPH
BALDWIN D .5180 4.7034 142.86
THOMAS M .4565 4.7109 152.23
REID L .4124 4.7166 151.46
HEROD L .4475 4.7295 153.06
DOLLAR C .5024 4.7501 150.05
BIRKES K .4011 4.7533 145.40
MOSER D .4624 4.7795 135.05
REID R .4142 4.7930 146.72
LIGON J .4632 4.8324 144.18
THOMPSON B .4395 4.8732 145.26
CYPERT C .2693 4.6428 149.40
ROACH E .4891 4.5930 151.57
POWELL A N/T

Chris Dollar breaks a trans and that puts Brian Thompson (new member) in his place. Allen still could not find his ignition problem.

ROUND 1 ELIMINATOR

NAME RT ET MPH

REID R .4271 4.8490 144.93
BALDWIN D .5249 4.7841 119.52

Randell Reid (new member) does his usual good job on the tree, has some trouble controlling Allen Eaves’ good looking S-10, but still pulls off the upset win.

HEROD L .4145 4.7968 134.17
THOMPSON B .4525 10.3086 38.70

Les Herod (new member) seemed to have his Superman blown Corvette dialed in, but did not need it as Brian Thompson got into trouble early and let off. The airbrush work on Brian’s car (done by Thompson Bros. Customs) is really something to see.

MOSER D .4384 4.7434 141.38
THOMAS M .4811 4.6966 146.87

Dave is on a good run with Mat chasing him down a little too hard.

REID L .4441 4.7560 141.07
BIRKES K .4817 5.8984 79.16

Laramie lets off early to take the win. Kent has trouble on the launch and wisely coasts to the turn off.

SEMI-FINALS

NAME RT ET MPH

REID R .4177 4.7879 148.61
HEROD L .5160 4.7051 150.91

It must be Randell’s night as he has another big holeshot win, with Les running right on the number.

REID L .4388 4.7063 150.05
MOSER D .4451 4.7186 145.68

Laramie has the car to beat tonight and looks like a force in the future of this class.

While it was blue skies earlier in the day, the rain held off until just before the final round. The two Reid brothers were to square off in a friendly family rivalry. We will post the results of this match-up when it happens.

David Baldwin earned Top Qualifier and $100 from Rainbow Vacuum Cleaners of Texas.

Randell Reid earned a $100.00 gift certificate from Neal Chance Racing Converters for Qualifying #8.

John Ferry at Ferry's Aluminum Cylinder head and Block Repair put up a $50 bounty against Mat Thomas for winning the first race and David Baldwin for winning the second race. The bounties go to Dave Moser and Randell Reid for taking these guys out in Wichita Falls.

Also thanks goes out to our series sponsors, Brink Racecraft, RPM Performance data loggers, Nitrous Outlet, D&L Performance Racing Engines, and Ace Racing Transmissions. Gilbert, you were missed sir.

Special thanks goes out to Darrell, Bee, Sharon, and the Staff at Wichita Raceway Park for giving us a top-notch facility. Your track had major teeth this weekend. Dave Moser ran a 1.03 60ft.

I would also like to thank our Fans and the 13 Race Teams that attended our third race of the Season. Without you and your families there would be no OTS!
