Eliminations R1:

Race data was not provided.

E. Roach
D. Baldwin

Roach pulls off the upset of the night with a 4.70 win over Baldwin in the 1st Round.

M. Thomas
B. Williams

The Williams left early giving the win to Thomas. Unfortunately, there was smoke out the Williams car about mid track caused by engine failure. Hope they can get that mean small block repaired for next week’s race.

A. Powell
C. Poindexter

Chuck got the big red eye.

C. Satterfield
D. Moser

Dave got loose at the start, and tried to reel Clint back in but did not have enough track.

Semi Finals:

E. Roach
M. Thomas

Both Drivers cut good lights on their way to breaking out. Roach takes the win with a 4.67 to Thomas' 4.65.

C. Satterfield
A. Powell

Allen’s car did not leave the line hard and he drove to the finish line.

Final Round:

C. Satterfield
E. Roach

Eddie lost traction at the hit while Satterfield continued to show consistency in getting down the track. How about Eddie coming all the way from an alternate spot to the finals.

Congratulations to Clint Satterfield and his Team on the win during their first ever race at Dallas Raceway. For those of you who aren't aware, Clint and his Crew are making the haul from New Mexico to race with us.

We all know that getting sponsorship money these days is tough. There were three sponsors for this race and here is how their money was distributed. By earning the Top Qualifier, David Baldwin earned $100.00 cash from ACE Racing Transmissions in addition to a $100.00 gift certificate from Nitrous Express (NX). Eddie Roach took home the $100.00 gift certificate from RPM Performance for his best burnout of the night. Brink Racecraft is also on board again this year with money toward the points fund. These sponsors are part of what makes our show better! Please keep these supporters in mind when you need something for your car!

We would like to send out a special thank you to Dallas Raceway for giving us such a great place to race! Also thank you to Gilbert from ACE Racing Transmissions for being race director for the evening.

Thanks to everyone who showed up for the first 4.70 race of the season. We'll see everyone next weekend back at the “Concrete Palace” Dallas Raceway!

Stan Thomas and I did not talk prior to last weeks race. In fact, he had no idea I was there to help run the OTS race until I walked up and shook his hand telling him why and what I intended to do. He welcomed my help just the same as Jim Brinkerhoff did when I called him back in February. Jim and I did have several discussions regarding my participation prior to the first race a few weeks ago. I'm not going to get into the discussion about whether a 4.50 or 4.70 index should be pursued. While I do have my own opinion, that's not why I'm here. I'm here to help the race teams, race track staff and OTS Admin run the races, at least until someone else stands up and volunteers. I'll be at all the races I can attend this season serving in the same role I did helping Jim at the 4.50 race and last weekend giving Stan a hand. Give me a race or two in order to get a groove on and I'm sure we'll find a good working relationship.

My cell phone number is 817-851-2777. My e-mail address is gilbert@aceracingtrans.com. Please provide me with your contact information and I'll do my best to convey important information if it becomes necessary down the road. Also, if you have any questions, suggestions, wants, needs, gripes or anything else you want to discuss just get in touch with me and I'll do what I can to accommodate you.

I'm all for what the racers and fans want. Let's get on with the racing and give the fans a show they will talk about and will support moving forward from here.

Good Luck to all of the OTS Teams this Season!
