She walks him for a bit, working on his haunches in, shoulders in and sidepassing. Then she moves him up into a posting trot, working on his flexibility. Once he's doing those excercises with ease she canters him a bit, making sure to reinforce the excercises she was doing at the beginning. Then she practices various transitions (from a hand-gallop to walk, trot to canter, walk to trot, canter to stop, etc.). When he does these without hesitating she does a mock English Pleasure class, pleased with his attitude and performance. She praises him and then dismounts, running her stirrups up and loosening his girth. She smiles and leads him back to the barn- [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ]
