Subject: CTE TR45 Transverter

Someone sent me one of these, new-in-the-box a number of years ago. Being a licensed Ham, I'm interested in using my HR2600 thru this for 40 meters. All the instructions are in Italian, which I more or less interpreted, but my big question is, does the radio have to be turned down in power to use the transverter? Or can just 4 watts AM/FM and 10-12 watts PEP suit it without blowing it up? Pls reply to bud45@bellsouth.net...thanks!
