Subject: Close Call question on USC230

Hi.. Following RFMans excellent review, I decided to pick up a USC230..

I have a question about "Close Call".. When it finds a frequency, you get a matter of seconds to hit a button and "see" the frequency.. And then you have to hit 'hold' to keep the channel open.

The time is so short, that its hard enough to do when its in your hand (unless you are staring at the screen waiting for it to find something), but impossible if, for example, you are in the car.

I realise that I could use "Search and Store" and then review the frequencies later... But I just wondered if there is any way to go back and look at the frequency after its resumed the scan.

According to the "Easier To Read SC230 Instructions" it says:

"To view the last CC hit press Hold. Press Hold again to resume."

This doesn't work, and I assume that I am taking this statement too literally...

Is there any way to achieve what I want? Or am I just going to have to use "Search and Store" instead.

Jon
