The no-morse test amateur TV licence was introduced on 1st June 1954. Holders signed /T e.g G3MMX/T or G3NOX/T.
From BATC CQ-TV newsletter Spring 1955:
GPO Television Transmitting Licences cost £2 per annum.
The qualifications required are the same as for the normal amateur sound licence, but no morse test is required.
The licence also covers the use of a sound channel provided this is also in one of the television bands.
The vision bands are 425-455 Mc/s, 1220-1295 Mc/s, 2305-2445 Mc/s, 5655-5845 Mc/s and 10,005-10495 Mc/s.
A maximum input to the final stage of 150 watts at peak white is permitted.
