Junior Squad News

Parents of Junior Squad Cheerleaders:

There is a lot going on with the Junior Squad. If you got your papers tonight (9/13) at practice, much of this will be a repeat, but if those didn't make it home to you tonight here is what you need to know.

First, if you are not current on your parent club dues, those must be paid up by tomorrow's practice or Curtis will not allow your child to participate. Parent Club dues are due by the first of each month. If you have any questions about your balance, see Curtis or me.

Second, competitions begin in about one month. Sarah will be sending home a packet of release forms to sign and fees due for each competition. Please sign all of these forms and return to me ASAP (no later than Sept. 24th). The Spirit of the South fee of $20 is due by
Sept. 24th also.

Third, hairpieces are being matched this week and will be ordered next week. If you have a hairpiece from last year, you do not have to order one unless you want a new one. If you need/want to order a new one, please pay $20 by Tuesday, Sept. 21.

Fourth, we will be ordering hairbows and make up kits soon. The information on these is included in Sarah's handout. I will let you know when the money for these two items is due.

Fifth, if you want Sarah to reserve rooms for the Tunica competition in December, I must know by Sept. 30th how many rooms you will need and how many nights you want them.

Last, we need to do a fundraiser soon. Some of us (junior and senior squad parents) have talked about having a fall festival at the gym, but this will require a lot of work. If you have any ideas to help make this a success, please email me. Another possible fundraiser we could do is sell something at the Rice Festival in Weiner. We will be doing an exhibition there on Saturday, October 9th. If we had something to sell or something we could sell raffle tickets for it would be nice. Please email any ideas you might have for this, but we must act quickly.
