Well the game was exciting.. Got to see my first shootout.. except they lost......... poop......
Got quite a few cuties on the team... Hopefully the lockout will end soon, and they will stay up here!!! (sorry)
Can't wait to see them again in dec!!!

We may not have won the game, but at least they are starting to stick up for themselves...Chistov fighting, that still boggles the mind....any way at least won some fights...still don't understand how come they don't play better...those first 2 games in Utah, they played like they have been playing together for years - passes were hitting the stick, they knew where the other guy was without looking - I just don't know what happened from the start of the season to now...hopefully they get their act together...and I almost had a heart attack when Shaw called a time-out in the second period, I didn't realize that he actually watches the game...

Well Utah was wonderful... It was so beautiful there.. only bad thing was that all the bars and stuff closed at 1230am... The team looked great! Bryzgalov really looked together. He was awesome!!! The first game with the ot, then shootout was very nerve racking!!! But they pulled thru. The second game.. we were leading like 4-1.. then utah caught up.. It was close.. The only bad thing was that we scored, which made it 5-3.. but they disallowed the goal, and it clearly was a goal.. But of course they would not replay it on the jumbotron... Oh well.. We still won!!!

I'm sure ya all remember eric laplante!! from tblades and barons..my fav player... NOT!!! Well found out last night that he was kicked of the barons roster last year.. whick I knew.. It was for getting arrested for grand theft auto!! Spent few days in jail.. Not to mention what had happened when he was in norfolk!!!

At the game thrusday.. 2 cincinnati duck fans. and 4 cleveland barons fans.. The rest we are little kids and their parents for the free skate afterward!!!...

The neither team had nameplates on their jerseys..

Boy some of the ducks must have forgotten to get their hair cut over the summer!!!

Ferhi is out with injury, so cassivi started. Several scratches.. brookbank, martenson, are 2 that I can remember..

And the ref.. Justin St Pierre!! Well he really sucks.. The ducks got everything called on them.. plus some!!! We spent the entire 3rd period in sin bin!! O'Brien was in there like 6 times!!! Glencross had his fair share there too!!! There was so many 5-3 for the barons.. maybe 2 for us. Cleveland even scored shorthanded 5-3...

Cory Pecker got the lone goal!!
Hopefully they will step it up in columbus, and in utah!!!

For those that are yarema fans.. I just spoke to a chicago fan, and he is going to be back in chicago this year... Or at least he is still on the roster.

They also had a new lighting system put in.. to make the ice look brighter, and make a better tv broadcast... Too bad they can't do that here...

So Dan will be our new assistant coach!! I'm happy about this! It's going to be a pretty good year. He's good with the team and I think that the guys that were his teammates last year and even the new guys will look up to him and have confidence in him that he will do a good job. He'll communicate very well with them.

A few of us have been talking about Dan becoming assistant coach or even head coach. I think it was inevitable since it seemed as if they were "training" him in the position last season when he was injured. I'm thinking they knew this all along. Great choice!!!

Well I just read that since the assistant coach darryl williams is gone.. They are in the market for a new assistant. But won't start "shopping" until after Labor day...

Maybe they can call Dan Bylsma?? I think that he would be a great leader..

Wow.. did anyone watch the womens all-around.. Really neat finish. I wasn't happy seeing the women being sad with the team medal.. Come on they got 2nd in the olympics!!! But that was neat for both men's and womens all-round gold medals went to 2 americans.. And the guy.. Paul. He lives in Columbus, Ohio.

What a neat event they put on this year for the kids!!! With all the games, it worked out real nice. Plus the way they did the jerseys was awesome!!!! Did everyone get who they wanted? Hopefully they do it like that again!!

Just a FYI that the Roadrunners will not be back this year... They are moving the team to Edmonton... Yuck, alone that is a 33 hour car ride.. Not to mention all the snow...

The only complaint I had about the toronto team was that the ticket prices were 35-50Cad a ticket!!! But it was a nice arena, and beautiful city!!! Come to think of it... The city was expensive.. The hotel was 224 a night!!! (but it was fun though...)

Oh well on to edmonton I guess

does anyone know why the ducks chose tim again in this yrs draft again ? after failing to sign him the pervious yr ? apparently they wanted him really bad but why pick him 3rd rd why not 1st or second? it doesnt make sense they screwed him over once they may just do it again! i love the ducks but that was just one messed up draft

Well just thought I'd pass on that during the playoffs when the ducks were in Milwaukee they would turn off the heat in the visiting locker room... Come on now.. How rude!!!.. So when they came to town.. The front office here refused to leave any of their friends and families tickets!!!.. One guy was really mad.. saying he drove all the way here from milwaukee!!!..

Just thought I'd pass it on... LOL

Any of the Anaheim girls know if any of the guys are in town training. I know Ruccin and Leclerc spend there summers here, but anyone else? I know last year in the middle of summer a lot of the rookies were in town for a week and I don't mean when Popovic, Kunitz etc...were in town for the playoffs. The team had them all back in July or something. If anyone knows anything let me know!

Okay, so I'm behind on the news... Gerber was traded...guess Bryzgolov is gone - although he could probably use another year in the AHL...who will be Eddy's back up - I would think he would be #1...with practice and icetime i'm sure he'll do fine...and of course we need "d" consistantly!!!!

You see that the Lighting had a promotion that if you signed up to for season tickets for next season, that at the game you got free beer that night!!! Be nice if we could do that here..
There was a lot of people upset at that.. But if you drink responsibily I think it's ok. Plus they were offering free taxi rides if you did drink too much!!! Were can I sign up at... Wait I forgot... I'm suck in Cincy...

SO here's a question.. What was your favorite Promotion this year?? Mine was the Bobbleheads...(although Ilya's rocked them all last year.)

Hey, everyone! I don't know if you had a chance to catch the game last night Sharks vs.Flames in Calgery..but, boy was it a great game...The Flames WON 3-1 and made it to the finals, man I wish I was in Calgery now, the town must be going CRAZY!!!!! - Congratulations guys!!!

I hope Tampa Bay wins it tonight...

For the Anaheim fans...

How do you all feel about Cam Severson? How was he in Anaheim?

Here's my take: He is an arrogant man...his ego is HUGE...he was fine everytime he played and was sent away - except for this year...he started in Anaheim this season and was sent to Cincinnati...when he was here he was a total PRICK....he had a chip on his shoulder the size of Texas...he was more worried about the fans heckling him in the penalty box than the game...once he was 5 seconds late coming out of the box...arrogant enought ot believe that we payed GOOD money to see him (like he is the only player)...any way just wanted opinions of those in Cal.

Sorry about this year(playoffs) - but hopefully next year...GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
