I got there late since I was spending Mom's day with the nuclear family. I was up in marin, playing with music with my nephew, enjoying the very homey feel when I felt this pull to the center. "It's time" so I said my goodbyes and flew to the city.

I walked in on the last sitting sessions and as I entered the room, I felt my body relax. A small sensation but noticable. I eased onto my cushion and got in sync. 5, 10, 20 minutes later? I'm not sure but the bell rings and we're doing our walking meditation.

Feeling my feet on the floor, closing my eyes and feeling the energies around me. I play a game with trying not to bonk my head on the hanging speaker. Failing on that one but not giving up.

At one point, I open my eyes and see my fellow participants in front of me, backlit by the overhead lights. For a second, it had a matrix feel, like I couldn't really tell where their physical bodies existing and it didn't make sense. For a second. Then, my shifted, doing the math about why their shadows look the way they do and why the lights did.

But for that one second, I was seeing something else.

Thanks Tempel and all the gang for letting me play. And thanks Caitlin for asking.
