But, while I am all too self-censored in person, I never pause long enough to contemplate whether I really want to send off a spur of the moment email reflecting whatever state of confusion I happen to be in. I don't understand the predator/prey thing, but what always seems to trigger me is the suggestion that there is a male way to be and a female way to be in life and in relationship. In an age where the conditions we live in are changing way faster than our genetics can adapt, we don't have biology to guide us and we have to redefine our roles out of our own visions. It sometimes feels to me that while we are rewriting our realities, we unconsciously slip into refashioning a dysfunctional traditional model with a new age veneer. These days a lot of people are not forming relationships in male/female pairs and so it's not assumed that we have to divide our masculinity and femininity according to gender. I suggest that we all just be us and do what works for us even if that turns out to be a man behind a great woman or a woman who can carry out massive action or a two headed hermaphrodite that says "I own you Bitch" to itself.
