TSO dumped us cold, and now you've dumped them.
Never thought I had to worry,
Five years running I felt so safe.
Once a year we bled the same,
Our souls pouring out,
You in spotlight;
Me and we just watching.
Though we hailed from far different places;
And all rejoiced, all were bettered,
The season and even Warriors were honored.
But now it’s suddenly as if none of us mattered.
You’ve gone away, leaving us behind.
To my face you promised,
And still you abandon.
I cannot begin to think
What must be reason enough?
What have we done so wrong?
The season gutted, our smiles undone
How do we make you feel
The loss you’ve wrought;
The Christmas Star shattered,
I and families who thought they mattered,
And now we’re left alone.
Smiles removed and cancelled,
A night of fellowship negated,
Friends I thought that I had made,
And now it’s blown away,
What the hell do I say?
Are we so small?
How do I make this thing change?
Do you hear or do you listen,
Do you even care?
You’ve left us behind,
Broken hearts,
Broken Christmas stars, and all.
