DARK NIGHT SERIES TO KICK OFF WITH WILDHORN EVENT

New York City, New York, January 22, 2002 - RIOT Entertainment announced
today the premiere of The Dark Night Series - an exclusive "unplugged" event
surrounding new presentations of musical theatre works by celebrated
composers. The premiere installment of the series is "An Intimate Evening
with Frank Wildhorn and Friends" featuring performances by Frank Wildhorn,
Linda Eder, Christiane Noll, Rob Evan, and Michael Lanning in the trendy
space Upstairs at Studio 54. "My goal was to create an exclusive series that
allowed us to revisit musical theatre works that have unique artistic and
audience appeal," says Producer Dave Clemmons of RIOT Entertainment - one of
the producers of the Off-Broadway critically acclaimed Bat Boy: The Musical.

The concept of the series centers on an intimate, relaxed setting
encompassing the music and the artists. "It's artistically important to us
that each show and the artists involved are exposed in some new way. We want
it to be up close and personal with a hip, insider edge," says Artistic
Director Vincent Paul Boyle. The biggest highlight of "An Intimate Evening
with Frank Wildhorn and Friends," which will have Jeremy Roberts as musical
director, occurring on February 25 and March 4, is that whether playing his
songs from the piano or relaying personal stories from the microphone, Mr.
Wildhorn will join the cast in creating a "not to be missed" performance.
"We will announce the next chapter in The Dark Night Series very soon, but we
can hint that it involves an extremely gifted composer and the reunion of a
brilliant original cast!" says Dave Clemmons.

The Dark Night Series featuring "An Intimate Evening with Frank Wildhorn and
Friends" kicks off Upstairs at Studio 54 on February 25, 2002 and March 4,
2002 at 8:00. Also, come and join us afterwards for a cast party with DJ
following each performance Upstairs at Studio 54. REMEMBER: the exclusivity
of this event allows LESS THAN 200 tickets per performance. Get your tickets
now! Tickets are $95.00 and are on sale now at www.Smarttix.com or by
calling 212-206-1515. Upstairs at Studio 54 is located at 254 W. 54th Street
in Manhattan. For further information call 212.594.7436
