I still find it hard, to go and see her like this. But she is so grateful knowing that I truly understand how she is feeling. I think that is one thing that is keeping her strong, knowing she is not doing this alone. I brought her a few things to keep her busy, talked to her but really just gave her the chance to really talk to me, and she did. It is hard to find the energy.

Before all of this, I also wrote to my oldest brother and told him about the abuse by my father...he finally wrote back and told me how sorry he was and that he wished he had been there to stop it. I told him that I just needed someone else besides me, to know what my dad had done. And that just finally telling him had made a big difference in my life.

So, hanging in there...most days ok. Looking forward to summer.
