Pre-cancer sounds better than cancer, but the treatment sounds as bad as the cure. I'm going to be optimistic that he will make a full recovery. I think the bone marrow transplant is worse for the donor, because they dig it out of a bone, usually the hip bone. Then they just drip it into the patient by IV. Before they do that, I think they have to kill off the patients diseased bone marrow. Your husband is lucky that his brother is a match. Only 1/4 or 1/3 of siblings are a match.
