Subject: Well?...

...conspicuous by her absence? Sara "You need a woman."? I think there is one there for the asking, and Catherine DID look stunning!

...conspicuous by her presence and "presents"? Well, now I know another use for the Super Glue the CSI's always use. Do you think she wanted Griss to "lift" her fingerprints off of that bow tie.....or just lift something else? The gratuitous underwear comment? Amazing how familiar you can become when you are two "shifts" passing in the night (or morning, as the case may be!).

...as to the case, Limo Daddy was right! We NEVER did see the arrest! Casino Daddy was right, too--he REALLY knew his daugther--too bad he didn't really CARE about her. A scream for help choked by your own scarf in your own hands!

...as to the new Deputy Assistant? Were I Griss, I'd give him the napkin for his scrapbook--after I used it as a hanky!

...I DO think that Catherine is not destined for DAy Shift, after all.

[> There's not much to say about this episode. It was all right with some great moments, and most of those were Cath and Gil interacting. I want to see Ecklie's face when he reads Gil's speech. The case just spun around in circles, and didn't seem to ever go anywhere. I wanted Cath to get the promotion, but i doubted it from the beginnging she would but loved Gil's backing her up more than once. -- Rita, 15:35:34 11/12/04 Fri [1]

[> [> [> I liked this epi, but it didnt wrap up like they usually do. No ONE person was arrested for the murdered girl and that "dad" was awful! What a disturbed daughter he had, it was so sad. Sorry, but I didnt even miss Sara...no hitting!!LOL -- jagglebelle : ), 17:54:28 11/13/04 Sat [1]

[> Good ep. Inside for my comments... -- DJEgirl... who wouldn't mind being the woman Griss needs!, 19:33:54 11/12/04 Fri [1]

Not one for the record books, but well-done nonetheless. The humorous moments helped keep the serious plot and heartbreaking ending from bringing me down.

How in the world can that man call himself a father? The girl was taking drastic measures because she was so starved for his attention, and he simply dismissed her from his mind. How he could have that type of attitude towards her and still be able to sleep at night is way beyond me. Maybe it's because I have a wonderful father that this is hitting me so hard - I don't know. But the sight of him staring right into the CSIs' eyes with absolutely no concern for his daughter was both angering and astonishing. May he forever live with the guilt of his failure to properly parent and love that poor girl.

The CSI execs sure knew how to boost November ratings - put Griss in a tux! And boy, oh boy, did he look good in it. I LOVED his struggle to properly tie the bowtie at the beginning... and yes, despite my status as a G/S shipper, I liked Catherine helping him. It was a simple, friendly gesture - one that I wouldn't think twice of doing for my best friend (who is a man). Her "I'm looking forward to your speech" comment and his reaction to it were priceless! Billy and Marg have their timing and acting chemistry down perfectly. Kudos, you two.

Posty, if Catherine meant herself when she said "You need a woman", why didn't she just say, "You need me"? It's because she knows of Grissom's feelings for Sara (and vice-versa)!

Where in the world did this Sophia (isn't that her name? Oh, well, I'll call her that anyway) person come from? Five years of CSI with no mention or glimpse of anyone except Ecklie from the dayshift, and now she waltzes onto the screen to openly - and quite boldly, I might add - flirt with Gil? For some reason, she just rubbed me the wrong way... mind you, I'm all for a woman having self-confidence, but she seemed almost TOO cocky. I didn't care for her personality at all, but I DID enjoy Grissom trying out her "talking to yourself" method of investigating. LOL! And I definitely wouldn't mind learning her get-out-of-your-gown-and-pull-it-off-through-your-jumpsuit-collar trick... that was quite impressive.

And since when do graveyard and day shift workers "combine forces" on a case? Hasn't there been a feud between the shifts since the beginning?

And, alas, everyone was there but Sara. I wonder how she would've reacted, had she seen Sophia's interactions with Griss. If, heaven forbid, they decide to bring Sophia back, maybe we'll get to see.

Looking forward to next week, as well. I love sweeps month!

[> [> She didn't need to say You need me, because she went on to prove why he needed her. It's all about the evidence. Sara's reaction would have been jealousy since she's had a crush on Gil since the beginning. -- Rita, 20:33:49 11/12/04 Fri [1]

[> [> Uh, that was the point of the comment she made. It is a technique which makes it mean more BECAUSE it is indirect or obtuse--it has more weight that way, vecause the receiver doesn't just "hear" it, but THINKS about it, as well. -- Postrider. The amusing part was the Sheriff calling Ecklie, "Gil's freind!", 09:28:31 11/13/04 Sat [1]
