I liked it! I wasn't sure if I would, since I knew it would include very few of the usual cast, but I did.

I noticed right away that they had a new gal playing Ellie. I wonder why they swapped actresses... perhaps the original one wasn't available. Not sure. Personally, I liked the first one better, but the second girl did well. Took a little while to get used to her brown hair.

We got a new sheriff already? The one with the mustache didn't stick around long. Odd.

I really enjoyed the female detective (I forget her name). I didn't suspect that she and Jim had had an affair, so that came as a bit of a surprise. They just seemed more like an "old friends from way back" pair to me. I liked her style and her no-nonsense attitude, and also the fact that she still had a heart underneath all that armor.

I thought TPTB would give us a happy ending, but they didn't. I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Ellie... I just hope she stays alive until then. I'd hate to see Brass suffer any more than he already has.

Next week's episode looks good. One of those creep-you-out type eps, but good character interaction.

[> I liked the episode too which was a surprise to me. I'm not a huge fan of Brass, but I don't dislike him either. The detective was played by Donna Murphy, a wonderful singer and Broadway actress but has been in movies like Center Stage and Star Trek: Insurrection was also in short lived series like Hack and What about Joan?. -- Rita (who wishes it wasn't so late so she could dig out her Remember WENN tapes to watch more of Donna Murphy and her voice), 03:27:17 04/22/05 Fri [1]

[> I didnt expect to like it either, but I did! For one of those "away" epi's they did a good job. I was surprised ellie isnt his daughter (bio) but glad that didnt let it stop him from trying to "save" her. It was an interesting look into Brass and some of his background too. -- jagglebelle : ), 12:26:59 04/22/05 Fri [1]

[> [> We actually learned about Jim and Ellie's biological difference in Season 2. Brass just never clarified who exactly was her "real" father. And yes, I, too, admire him for continuing to try to rescue her. Let's hope he succeeds in the end! -- DJEgirl... who nearly teared up at that last scene, 17:45:28 04/22/05 Fri [1]
