Author: Dree
Subject: I GET TO HUNT! BOOYA!

An emerald-green feline enters the area, pale green spots as markings and a softly-furred stomach of the same pastel hue creating a rather striking appearance... accented by pine green, very alert eyes. The Cano-Kiara -a sub-species of Kumayaki- surveys the Grounds, and lopes towards a thick forest. This ought to be good, she muses to herself, jaw dropping in a saberfanged grin. Silkily-tufted tail waving in the wind of her speed, it only takes but a moment before Dree's reached the grove. She pauses not but lunges up the tree, specially-adapted claws finding holds that few others could manage in the rough, stony bark. Still grinning to herself, the Aya bounds across branches and ricochets off sturdy trunks, leaving nothing more than a quivering twig or leaf to mark her passage, and that only occasionally. Finally spotting some sort of primate a few limbs higher, Dree rockets upwards and before the little bugger even knows what's coming, long dagger-teeth have sunk into its weak skull and killed it instantly. After making sure it's good and dead, the green-furred feline releases her grasp and tosses the eighty-pound monkey on her lower back, using her powerful tail to keep it there. That ought to feed the cub, now for the other one. Smug with the ease of her first kill, she runs through the trees as swiftly and as easily as a normal Aya would run across a level field, the primate hardly slowing her down. Finally scenting larger prey, the Cano-Kiara pauses and slinks through the branches, finally coming to a halt directly above a simple, white-tailed deer. Forcefully supressing a laugh at the ease of this hunt, she carefully and silently sets the primate down on her branch. Unfortunately, she forgot about how messy crushed skulls are, and several drops of blood alert the doe below. It takes off in a rush of disturbed foliage, but Dree races after it, staying about ten feet above it. The predator-scent doesn't fade, so the doe doesn't slow, but a well-timed leap brings the Aya crashing down on its back. Elongated fangs sink into the deer's spine, breaking it, and another deep, precise bite snaps its neck. Cheered by her success, the feline returns to the trees, retrieves the monkey, and then begins to drag the deer back to the Sanctuary.
