Date Posted: Fri January 06, 2006, 03:59:58pm Hi Everyone, Thank you so much for all your words of comfort. I went home to Cebu on Christmas day with all my siblings except Nang Menchu who had complications from spinal anesthesia the day before dad died. I stayed for 3 1/2 days for dad's wake and funeral. Everything seems like a blur to me. I did not have time to grieve until I got back. I've attempted to go to work twice this week and ended up going home. I'm just so touchy, weepy, and quite emotional. Every time I pass by the ICU bed were Dad was when he was hospitalized in Clara Maass (a few feet away from my office), I'd see his face flash before me calling me, "Obic obic." Pastilang paita, mura kug mabuang. The whole event was actually a time of rejoicing and a celebration of Dad's life. It was a reunion of relatives from both sides of the family coming from all parts of the country, friends from our old neighborhood, classmates from elementary, high school and college. Bong, Myrna, Helen, and Elena came to the wake. If you are reading this, guys, thank you so much for being there. That truly meant a lot to me. We tried calling you, Johnny, at the wake. We thought you were in Cebu pero you were in Manila diay. I'll be taking some time off to go to a conference in Miami, Florida from Jan 12-15. This would be good to keep my mind diverted. Floridians, can Nestor and I stay with anyone of you for one night? The conference actually starts on the 13th but we thought we'd come early to meet up with you guys. Nene, when is ERa Joy coming out of Rehab? Please post in the website. Jud, I'll call you one of these days. Medyo antisocial pa ko karon. Baby, I always wondered how you are doing in the ER. We're so near and yet so far. Thanks again everyone and God bless, Becbec [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
