Date Posted: Thu September 09, 2004, 11:35:48pm Hi Everyone, I received a call from Era Joy to tell me that the scarves I ordered were on the way. She did mention that her surgery has been moved up to the 15th of this month instead of the 22nd. Interestingly, the surgeon who has been performing all her surgeries is the same surgeon who separated the conjoined Aguirre twins in Montefiore. She is requesting for all of us to storm the heavens with prayers interceding for a successful procedure, a speedy recovery and the non-recurrence of her tumors. She asked me when our next reunion/cruise is going to be. She really wants to join us this time. I am just awed at her spirit and her faith. Joy, if you are reading this email, we just want to let you know that you have truly been an inspiration to all of us. When we complain and whine about the little discomforts and problems we have in our lives, we can just think about you and what you've gone through and we feel ashamed of ourselves. We thank God for you and for the model that you have become to us. You will truly be in our hearts and prayers. Surely, the good Lord will grant the desires of the hearts of those who love Him.
