Date Posted: Wed December 08, 2004, 04:47:51pm Dearest Fellow 79ers, Please pray for my honey, Nestor and his friend Angel, who are both serving in the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti. Violence and shootings have been quite rampant in the area. It was broadcasted in the news there that UN employees are the protesters' target. They could not even to go church to hear mass. It's too dangerous. It has been quite difficult to communicate with them either by phone or email as a meteorite apparently struck the dish (?). Lord, please protect Nestor and Angel from any danger. Hide them from violence and the plans of evil people. Be their fortress, strength, shield, and stronghold (Ps 18:2-3). Make them to dwell in the shadow of Your wings (Ps 91:1-2). Be their rock, salvation, and defense, so that they will not be moved or shaken (Ps 62:6). We pray that even though bad things may be happening all around them, they will not come near them (PS 91:7). Preserve their going out and their coming in from this time forth and even forevermore (Ps 121:8). Lord, we cling to Your promises that even though "the wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him, You, Lord, will not leave them in his hand (Ps 37:32-33)" and that You will be "a shield to those who put their trust in You (Prov 30:5). All these we ask in the Mighty Name of our Lord and Savior. Amen. Thank you and God bless, Becbec PS. I truly apologize for getting the updated journals to you in a timely fashion. It has not been easy not having my honey around. In our 21 years of marriage, we have never been apart except for the 5 days last January when I accompanied Dad and Mom to Cebu.
