Gen - you have any number of vendors within the ranks that are actually equal or superior to most of those listed, including Fred Baker, Danny McCoslin, and Frank Marek for uniforms, Pam Lind for socks and knitted goods, Cary Davisson for leather gear, etc.

A good place to start for whomever is compiling this list might be the AC forum as the quality is assured but price is not always high. Many specialize in Western uniforms and equipment. As we ramp up for Franklin, it would be good to have correct Columbus Depot, Dept of Alabama and Mobile jackets from folks like Fred Baker (via Jersey Skillet Licker), Cotton City Tailors, Chris Daley, Mike McComas (Confederate Tailor), Charles Cantrell, Glengarry, etc. helping us.

Greg Starbuck and the Skillet Licker are likely the best choices for CS caps. Greg and Lisa Pace are outstanding for shirts, vest, suspenders, etc. Don Smith at Trans-Mississippi Depot is back in biz with his outstanding stuff.

Paul Smith is no longer producing by the way.

Just some thoughts,

Doug Cooper
