Subject: Iraq: America's playground.

Time to get the hell out; prison abuse fuels fanaticism and invites more brutality

The beheading of Nick Berg is disgusting enough, but I get this weird feeling when I ask myself, "Why are we still in Iraq?" We all should ask ourselves this question because the Bush Administration's number one answer doesn't make sense - they want to bring democracy to Iraq. That was never a valid reason at any time considering America continues to do business with countries who's human rights behavior, to this day, could very well make Amnesty International's top ten list. There's a whole list of dictators and leaders who rule their countries just as ruthless as Saddam did.

Also, how in the hell can an administration bring democracy anywhere when they, themselves, don't even believe in democracy? Right to gay marriage? Leave it to the homophobes. Pro-choice? Leave it to the religious right. Rights to free speech and expression? Leave it to the FCC. Right to privacy? Leave it to the Patriot Act. Our next president? Oh, the Supreme Court or Dibold will decide that. Etc..

As for photogate. In my opinion, those photos aren't the scandal, the war is the scandal. There are no real weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq. And it appears the Bush administration's definition of democracy is that they decide what's best for the Iraqi people rather than the Iraqi people decide for themselves how they want their government.

Anybody who was ever for this war should be shot about two-thousand times in the face with an automatic paintball gun. And because of the "rah-rah, George W. Bush" bullshit we have troops dying almost on a daily basis for no reason. No Reason. Even non-military workers. Nick Berg wasn't even a fucking soldier. The five major companies (including Halliburtin Oil and Bechtel) who expected to make over five billion dollars through repairing Iraq has blown up in their faces. They've lost workers. And something doesn't add up when the military used to rebuild countries, but now, happy little companies can do all the work instead for a hefty fee. Is this why we aren't leaving Iraq? Are the soldiers there to protect the contractors and workers of those five companies? Is this why the death toll keeps rising? Is this why more people continue to die for no reason aside from making the profit of rebuilding?

Again, the war is the scandal here. The whole damn Bush administration are second-degree murderers (when you get right down to it) and should be put behind bars.
