The budget priced Snooper SD715is radar detector has been designed to offer complete protection for drivers to minimise the risk of road traffic accidents and speeding tickets, this is achieved by utilising a 5 BAND detection system.

The Snooper SD715 comes packed with features including mute, night mode and city mode (which reduces the chances of receiving false alarms).

Its compact design and excellent detection range make this radar detector ideal for the serious driver.

The Snooper SD715is � This standalone radar detector can either be mounted onto the dashboard with the use of velcro (supplied) or it can be mounted against the windscreen by use of a support bracket and suction pads (supplied). The unit then has a power lead, which simply plugs into the cigarette lighter. Mounting to the side of in-screen heater elements achieves best results. Another easy installation!

This unit proudly boasts a 5-band detection system pioneered by Snooper, I must admit it is an excellent unit. It detected all the live Gatso Cameras with no problem and its tone wasn�t harsh enough to startle a driver.

MUTE: - The mute button has two functions. Pressing the mute button when no alert is being received puts the unit in auto-mute mode. This means when an alert is received it will chirp once to announce the signal detection and if the signal is prolonged it then 'clicks' quieter for the duration of that alarm. Pressing the mute button during an alert will cancel the audible
warning for that signal for 20 seconds.

DARK: - This function turns off all visual alert indicators (LEDs) except the power indicator. The detectors audio alerts remain active. Some people find flashing indicators distracting!

CITY: - One of the signals the radar detects is X band. One of the things X band is used for are non-speeding radar systems such as intrusion alarms, automatic door openers and microwave traffic light signal controllers. Pressing CITY mode reduces the radars sensitivity to this frequency to eliminate the weak X band signals produced by these other uses.
