Subject: Minature donkey help needed!

I can't believe after months of searching, I finally found a donkey message board :)
I have a miniature donkey that I think might be pregnant and I'm looking for some good books. Something like the book, "Imprint Training Of The New Born Foal" by Robert M. Miller D.V.M. I know that donkeys are different in gestation than horses and want to also learn everything I can before she has this foal.
We have had several tests done on her. 2 blood tests that didn't work, the second one said negative but, questionable. We tried ultrasound on the outside of her belly but, that didn't work either. We can't have a rectal palpation done because she is so small.
Are there any good reliable pregnancy tests for "miniature" donkeys???
I'm pretty sure she is pregnant but, I want to be completely sure. I hate this waiting and wondering. I want to know the approx. date she's due. She was with the jack for so long in pasture and had no interest in him. I know they can be sneaky about the breeding thing. My friend has several donkeys and has NEVER seen them actually breed. They are really secret about the whole thing I guess.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!! I love this little girl and want to give her the best care I possibly can.

If you contact the American Donkey and Mule Society they have a whole list of GREAT books on donkeys.

My Miniature Donkey (Jennet)Delivered A healthy Little boy on 03/18/2002. There is a great book available called "Donkey Foaling Manual" by Bonnie R. Gross year2000. Publisher Miniature Donkey Talk,Inc. you can find them on the Internet or call (410)875-0118. They gave alot of good advice, donkeys are not horses, something that we've raised for fifteen years. They also have a book called "Caring For Your Miniature Donkey" it's been alot of help in raising him. Good Luck! They both cost me about sixty bucks but, they were well worth it.
