I'm not quite sure I understand what you're asking. The mule is a hybrid and bred from 2 different species, the horse and the donkey. Most hybrids are sterile and can't have offspring. Altho they can't have offspring, the males are still gelded (neutered). Perhaps that's what you were asking?

Yep. There are male and female mules.
