A great product used for animals for their sores, cuts, sore skin etc. is called Rawleigh Antiseptic Salve. It has been used on the farm animals since 1889. It puts a coating on the effected area and it keeps the air/buges away from the area you wish to heal.
My shitzu got "fixed" and I used the Rawleigh Antiseptic Salve on her and she healed very very quickly.
If you have animals (its great for humans too) you need to keep a can of Rawleigh's Antiseptic Salve in your medicine cabinet.
My husband also puts it on his roachea (redness in the face) daily and his face looks SO GOOD since he started putting it on 3 months ago instead of paying the druggist 54.00 for antibotic cream he uses the Rawleigh Antiseptic Salve.
