I have to say, i was a little disappointed with this feis. the venue seemed very small, and i was slightly annoyed that the champ/prelim room was the same as the open comps room. every time they wanted to announce awards, they had to wait for the music on the other side to stop. my comp also started 3 hours after it was schedules and then we had to wait an additional our for results. also, the prices were outrageous. they charged 7-10 dollars admission- this is absurd. ive been to feisanna that charge no more than 4-5 dollars, and in MUCH nicer venues. the food was absurdly priced. a tiny lenders bagel was 2 dollars, and all the drinks were 2 dollars as well. and there wasnt many restaurants in the area, so they knew they had you on that much anyway. the trophies were small, and in my group- which had 13 dancers- they only gave 5 places. Saving a buck or two are we?? i think there should have been one more at least. despite all my complaining, i actually didnt have that bad a day. i was happy with my win, and wasnt dead tired as i am at some NY feisanna, but i think the venue and the prices were my biggest beef with this. overall rating 1-10: a 4. would i go back? probably, i always do! id just bring a lunch and head phones!
