I also went to the Horgan Feis and one child danced early in the morning which went okay except they had very young girls trying to assist the little ones and instead of two dancers dancing at once they had four going at one time and two judges on two different stages had to get up to speak to the girls.
Also, my other child was suppose to dance before noon and did not start to dance until 2:15 and we didn't get out of the hall until well after five o'clock..The third place medals were just awful..They had victory on them with a flame..it was like a track and field medal..no mention of Ireland or no photo of Ireland. Finally, when I got my kids marks and a few other parents did also we all started to leave when one of the mothers whose daughter got two seconds in prizewinner realized her daughter should have won first place and a trophy to boot...Good thing she checked..or else she would never have known that...They also had young girls at the medal table writing the numbers out and they seemed like they didn't know what they were doing...Anyway, we will not be in any hurry to go back to this one..!
