your girlfriend seems to be a little insecure - she is also being insecure on your part - that is why she is making sure she kind of looks after you by finding you a girlfriend - she feels guilty - that alone should tell you that she doesnt really want to be with you and that she made a mistake by coming back to you. They say when you break up a relationship it is like someone has died and yes it hurts and you feel sad but it is OK. You cant go through life without a little heart ache and it will make you stronger. By the sounds of your ex's behaviour she is not in love with you and is making excuses (she doesn't know you) to get away and at the same time feels guilty for doing so - tell her it is OK let her go and you go on
