A young woman moves with the morning bustle… hustling in and out of peoples' way, trying her best not to bumb into high nobles with heavy packages…her amber eyes sift through the crowd, squinting against the blazing sun…wandering wistfully across the stands of food that line the market, searching for something of reasonable cost…her eyes flit across a set of peaches and radiate with hope…her bony fingers rifle through the pockets of her shaggy mink coat for a few gold coins…tucking a few strangs of red-gold hair behind her ears as she moves toward the stand…recklessly dodging everything in her path, she finally arrives at the stall and hastily deposites an uncounted sum of money on the oak countertop…after snatching a few peaches, Sawyer disappears into the crowd.
