When Michael was a kid and a young man he was a normal looking black man - his skin has gotten whiter and whiter as he ages and he has virtually eliminated, by plastic surgery, any resemblence to the black race. Does that change his race, of course not, but it appears that Michael himself is the one who wishes not to 'appear' black. I thought he was an extraordinarily good looking man when he was younger and in his "Moonwalk" hey-day. Now he appears to me to be a parody of himself; the squeaky little voice, the grotesque make up and facial features.
If "skin color" is not an issue for the BP's and the NOI, someone forgot to tell them that - that IS their issue; that and racial prejudice and they are every bit as guilty of that as those they criticize.
So you can say it shouldn't be a black/white thing and I agree. Or a Jewish thing, or an Asian thing, or a Hispanic thing.
It seems to me that white people aren't the only ones who are not color-blind however, there is prejudice in every race. The Panthers and the NOI are extremely prejudice against the white race, and Jewish and probably others as well.
It's universal and it's just a wrong for other races as it is for whites.
