You misunderstand my message, Diva. First, you are now giving information with the post above that I have never heard before, because you have never disclosed any of this before. When we had this semi-discussion before I initially assumed you were black because of your pro-black stance on virtually every racial issue; but you being very coy and secretive denied that. I am certainly not trying to "paint" you into any corner, because frankly I don't know you from a bale of hay and I would have no way of knowing what color you may be since I don't yet have cybervision on my computer.

Why do you resent people not getting your "race" correct; are the people you know under some obligation to guess correctly and why must they guess at all? If it's important to you for people to know you are of more than one heritage, why can't you just say so? It almost feels like, Diva, that you want people to automatically know who you are, and you are mad when they don't.

In fact it seems to me that you are mad a lot of the time when racial issues surface and not everyone feels as you do. I don't know how you conclude I have a "one race mentality" mainly because I don't know what that means, but it certainly sounds like something I should take offense to. And you are right, I "didn't get it". I failed mind-reading in favor of taking people I communicate with at face value. Re-read your post Diva, you clearly state you are black, you say nothing about other heritages so how am I supposed to know?

Perhaps if you took the chip off your shoulder and let others know that you have some valuable input born of experience rather than just opinion we could all learn something from you.
