Mike McKinney was a 21 year old that was going to Bal State University in Muncie, Indiana. At the time of the incident he was intoxicated and was walking home one early morning when he went to a house which he thought was his, and began knocking on the back door. The woman inside called the police, they arrived, and the officer shot Mike 3 or 4 times and killed him on the spot in cold blood. The "officer" currently was enrolled in the training academy, but not completed the course and he was not trained to use pepper spray or a stun gun, instead they train them first off with real guns. s family contacted Geoffrey Fieger to represent them on a case against Ball State Police Department and a wrongful suit matter. From the conversations I have had with local attorneys, Geoffrey and his assistant, Bob, who I might add is a hottie, agreed to take the case. A suit was filed against BSU and I believe it is going to trial in either 2005 or early 2006.
