My question is,have these people ever watched as a loved one dies? When someone has cancer that can no longer be stopped or treated,it is a painful death, for the person and the family that loves them.Physicianassisted suicide is at the very least, human!I watched as my father died at home from lung cancer. It had taken a man,a man that worked hard everyday, never needed help from anyone and made him as capable as a baby.He had to wear a diaper, had to have strangers form Hospice take care of him, could not swallow, could not move, had to be turned all day so he would not get bed sores, all this while his 19 year old daughter worked 65 hours a week to pay the bills that he could no longer take care of,but yet, they say that assisted suicide is un human, what to you call what I just explained to you,is that human?I wish that the name Jack Kevorkian, was heard around at the time of my fathers cancer,I would have called myself,I loved my father, and the way he died was an embarrasment to him.Maybe people like Tom McMillin, need to experience something before making opinions, someone's pending death should not be a time for us to be selfish,do you think that these people want to exist like this?NO!!!We want to pass laws to make us look better,to apease those who don't understand what this is really about.God forbide that I find myself and my children in this posistion, but if it does happen,I know that my children will do what's right, because they love me,not because the law says so.Thank you,Staci Naab
