Brother and I gave it a shot this afternoon (4-8) We fished the East side off of Fishermans road. Tried some reefs in that area then went across to Abraham, Jabers and Sonnebergs reefs. Got nada, nothing and zip except for some dandy sheephead. Oh well, a poor day of fishin still beats a good day at work. Surface temps were 48 degrees. I've been warmer ice fishing.

I was trolling the countdown in 5 feet of water. I didnt have the trolling rods out so I just gave them an average cast and then let the line roll out for about 5 seconds. No weights or anything. 10 lb mono of both rods and that got them to the bottom quick enough. I would guess I had out about 75 feet roughly. Everything I caught was on the river side not far from the lighthouse and and big white dock.

Tried to troll around brays last night. 4 sheephead and 2 walleyes. 18 and 13 inches. Couldnt pick up anything in firetiger or brighter patterns. Put on a black and white countdown and then the fun began. Water was 59 at the mouth in 5 feet of water. Away from shore it was down to 53 in 14 ft.

Monday and Tuesday fishing Asylum Reef, 8 fish Monday and 3 fish Tuesday biggest was a 21 inch male. Fish were all caught on 3/16 . 1/4 or 3/8 ounces jigs depending on the wind but all fish were right on top of the reef in 4 to 5 feet of water. Lots of sheephead and a couple large White bass. White bass seem like it will be a week or two before they spawn. Roe is pretty hard yet.

Minnows work but crawlers also worked. Nothing on leeches except Sheephead. tried the inner bay and got bitten off by a large northern. A slow retrieve worked best on the reef for walleyes, a bobber with a jig beneath it and using the slow retrieve was the hot setup and saved a lot of snags.

Reports are coming in that the mouth of the Fox is hot, along with the reefs in that area, slip bobbering the reefs with leeches and crawlers seem to be doing the trick. Keep the reports coming guys! Remeber to release the big girls and fry up the good eaters!

Fished both, really slow for us, but got 5 males and one 13.25" crappie. Was very slow, but had a nice meal of walleye Sunday night and fed the family. Wife is now a huge fan of walleye fishing, but still can't tell bottom from a walleye yet. Actually funny when she has one on. Tried to shake off what ended out to be a 28.5" walleye last year. Yes, it's still swimming,(released it) and she still brings that up. She's learning though.

Fished LBDM this weekend, (LOTS of boats, esp. by the bridge). Fished 8 hours (4 Sat, 4 Sun) not a bite. Out of the hundred boats I saw 8 caught between both days, most were bigger ones. Very slow, but I loved it, was great to get out on the water. And that's my main goal anyway, fish will come. Made it back in time to see the Masters final. I don't miss the Masters last day. GREAT golf.

We have a pretty good lake fly hatch going on this weekend!! They look different in size and color than the flies we use to see but at least we have a hatch. The most I have seen in 4 years. They are early, not supposed to be here until Mother's day weekend. I have lived on the west shore for 14 years. Also had one 50 " sturgeon wash up yesterday. Had a tag in it's fin, didn't look like he had any holes in him. Pier and boat lifts are in. Need to get the boat ready next.

Fish are being caught on Sunset Point in 3 to 6 feet of water on SMALL jigs with a minnow. Slip bobbers are catching fish as well. The Problem is that the fish are mostly large females spawned out. Not great for the deep fryer, but fun to catch. I fished last Thursday evening and Saturday evening and boated 3 fish and saw another 25 fish caught.

About a dozen people fishing in the marina at High Cliff for Crappie and perch but only saw one white bass caught and most everyone leaving empty handed. We could use some rain if anyone has connections. I'll try again Tuesday or wednesday hopping the water warms a bit.

The Fox River in Oshkosh was really crowded this past weekend. Water temps was 40.5 degrees. Counted 92 boats from the landing downstream to the cable crossing. One fellow said he went to Winneconnie first and could not even put his boat in, there wasn't any room. The water under the bridge on 41 was also crowded with lots of boats.

The fish were biting though if you had the right set up and technique. Some boats were slip jigging, some were anchored, both methods seem to be working.

I fished the West Shore reefs off of the Blackwolf/Little Point area this morning. One walleye, one smallmouth and two got off before I could identify them. I was using an orange jig on one pole and chartreuse on the other. Soaked one over the side and jigged the other. Moved around allot. Just couldn't get anything going. The walleye came off Longpoint reef but it was too rough out there for my taste so I didn't fish it very long.

We were out on the south end Thursday night. With that NW wind we had really good chop. Ended up boating 20 walleye and 1 sheep head. We primarily fished the reefs in 7-9 fow.

Turn $6 into $60,000 in 90 days, GUARANTEED

Postal lottery: Turn $6 into $60,000 in 90 days, GUARANTEED

I found this in a news group and decided to try it. A little while
back, I was browsing through news groups, just like you are now and
came across a message just like this, that said you could make
thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of
$6.00!!!

So I thought yeah right, this must be a scam!!! But like most of us, I
was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 to
each of the 6 names and addresses stated in the message. You then
place your own name and address at the bottom of the list at #6 and
post the message in at least 200 news groups. (There are thousands).
No catch, that was it.

So after thinking it over, and talking to a few people first. I
thought about trying it. I figured, what have I got to lose except 6
stamps and $6.00, right? So I invested the measly $6.00!!! Guess what?
Within 7 days I started getting money in the mail!!! I was shocked!!!
I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in!!! In
my first week, I had made about $25.00. By the end of the second week,
I had made a total of over $1,000.00!!! In the third week, I had over
$10,000.00 and it is still growing!!! This is now my fourth week and I
have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and it is still coming in
rapidly!!! It's certainly worth $6.00 and 6 stamps!!! I have spent
more than that on the Lottery!!!

Let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why it works!!!
Also, make sure you print a copy of this message now. So you can get
the information off ofit as you need it. I promise you that if you
follow the directions exactly, that you will start making more money
than you thought possible by doing something so easy!!!

Suggestion: Read this entire message carefully!!! (Print it out or
download it.) Follow the simple directions and watch the money come
in!!! It's easy!!! It's legal!!! Your investment is only $6.00 (plus
postage).

IMPORTANT: This is not a rip-off!!! It is not illegal!!! ? It is
almost entirely risk free and it really works!!! If all of the
following instructions are adhered to, you will receive
extraordinary dividends!!!

Please note: Follow these directions EXACTLY, and $60,000.00 or more
can be yours in 20 to 90 days!!! This program remains successful
because of the honesty and the integrity of the participants!!! Please
continue its success by carefully adhering to the instructions.

You will now become part of the mail order business. In this business
your product is not solid or tangible, it is a service. You are in the
business of developing mailing lists. Many large corporations are
happy to pay big bucks for quality lists. However, the money made from
a mailing list is secondary to the income which is made from people
like you and me asking to be included on your mailing list!!!

Here are the 4 easy steps to success:

Step 1: Get 6 separate pieces of paper and write the following on each
piece of paper.

PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR MAILING LIST

Now get 6 U.S. dollar bills and place ONE inside each of the 6 pieces
of paper so the bills will not be seen through the envelopes (to
prevent mail theft). Next, place one paper in each of the 6 envelopes
and seal them, you should now have 6 sealed envelopes. Each with a
piece of paper stating the above phrase, your name and address, and a
$1.00 bill. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL!!! YOU ARE REQUESTING A
LEGITIMATE SERVICE AND YOU ARE PAYING FOR IT!!!

Like most of us, I was a little skeptical and a little worried about
the legal aspect of it all. So I checked it out with the U.S. Postal
Service and they confirmed that it is indeed legal!!!

Mail the 6 envelopes to the following addresses:

R. Somerville
2507-A Cypress Ln
Cedar Park, Tx 78613
USA

S.C.B.
28 Dalrymple Green N.W.
Calgary, A.B. T3A-1Y2
Canada

J. Soup
#1, 2028 Kensington Rd. NW
Calgary, AB Canada
T2N 3R6

Andy Vaughan
511 E Rensselaer St
Bucyrus, OH 44820
USA

S. Secure
Box 3383
Courtenay, BC
V9N 5N5

Rick Lee
1515 Cannon Pkwy. Apt 417
Roanoke Tx. 76262

Step 2: Now take the #1 name off the list that you see above, move the
other names up (6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etc.) and add your name as
number 6 on the list.

Step 3: Change anything you need to, but try to keep this message as
close to what you see as possible. Now, post your amended message to
at least 200 news groups. I think there are close to 24,000 groups!!!
All you need is 200, but remember, the more you post, the more money
you make!!! This is perfectly legal!! If you have any doubts, refer to
Title18 sec. 1302 & 1341 of the postal lottery laws. Keep a copy of
these steps for yourself and whenever you need money, you can use it
again.

Please remember that this program remains successful because of the
honesty and the integrity of the participants and by their carefully
adhering to the directions!!!

Look at it this way. If you are of integrity, the program will
continue and the money that so many others have received will come
your way!!!

Note: You may want to retain every name and address sent to you,
either on your computer or hard copy and keep the notes people send
you. This verifies that you are truly providing a service. Also, it
might be a good Idea to wrap the $1 bills in dark paper to reduce the
risk of mail theft.

So, as each post is downloaded and the directions carefully followed,
six members will be reimbursed for their participation as a list
developer with one dollar each. Your name will move up the list
geometrically so that when your name reaches the #1 position, you will
be receiving thousands of dollars in cash!!! What an opportunity for
only $6.00!!! ($1.00 for each of the first six people listed above).

Send it now, add your own name to the list and your in business!!!

DIRECTIONS FOR HOW TO POST TO A NEWS GROUP!!!

Step 1: You do not need to re-type this entire message to do your own
posting. Simply put your cursor at the beginning of this message and
drag your cursor to the bottom of this message and select copy from
the edit menu. This will copy the entire message into the computer
memory.

Step 2: Open a blank note pad file and place your cursor at the top of
the blank page. From the edit menu select paste. This will paste a
copy of the message into notepad so that you can add your name to the
list.

Step 3: Save your new notepad file as a txt file. If you want to do
your posting in a different setting, you'll always have this file to
go back to.

Step 4: Use Netscape or Internet Explorer and try searching for
various news groups (on-line forums, message boards, chat sites,
discussions, etc.)

Step 5: Visit these message boards and post this message as a new
message by highlighting the text of this message from your notepad and
selecting paste from the edit menu. Fill in the subject, this will be
the header that everybody sees as they scroll through the list of
postings in a particular group. Click the post message button. You've
done your first one! Congratulations!!! All You have to do is jump to
different news groups and post away, after you get the hang of it, it
will take about 30 seconds for each news group!

REMEMBER, THE MORE NEWS GROUPS YOU POST IN, THE MORE MONEY YOU WILL
MAKE!!!!
(But you have to post a minimum of 200).

That's it!!! You will begin receiving money from around the world within
days!!! You may eventually want to rent a P.O. Box due to the large
amount of mail you will receive. If you wish to stay anonymous, you can
invent a name to use, as long as the postman will deliver it.

JUST MAKE SURE ALL THE ADDRESSES ARE CORRECT!!!

Another late report.
Limited out on Walleye (biggest 18 inches)and one nice Perch on Monday Aug. 15 by Stevens Reef. Been out 3 times since (Aug 16, 21, 23) trying several West Shore reefs, same method dragging jig w/ crawler down side of reef with only one walleye each time to show for my efforts. Lots of sheephead and smallies. Got blown off the water last 2 times out.
Hope to see more contributions to this site.

This is a very late report, I fished on the north side of Lighthouse Reef this past Friday morning for 2 hrs. and had no luck. I found the reef and was marking fish but couldn't get them to bit. This was my first time fishing the west shore. A guy did motor up to me and said he had caught his limit of Perch Wednesday & Thursday where I was located. But he said he had been fishing for 4 hours on Friday morning and didn't get a bite. I will try to do my part leaving reports (good or Bad). I hope we can see more reports posted here!

I'm the owner of Val's Bait and Tackle, and not used to posting. However, in defense of the lack of reports, this summer's heat, dryness and bug hatches have truly made the walleye bite tough. You can tell that by the weigh-in's at the tourneys. I've been in business for 3 yrs now and this was the first summer I've seen this type of slow down. Lake MI, fortunately, has been doing extremly well. Hang in there and hopefully we'll see an upswing on the action as the Sept cool down begins. And then there's always ice!!! I once saw him wrastle 3 walleyes on the planner boards at once, and he got all 3 of the fish in da boat, and had no snaggles. Do not rip on him, he is doing a great job, and he is honest, like us! I sure do wish more peoples would post on this thread, as it is a lot better then other sites, as least we can believe what AXL says, he is always honest and up front. Good luck this weekend in the FLEET FARM THINGY,AXL, I hope you win it all, you deserve it. I will be there in the crowd, cheering you on. Just look for the spike!

Axl does a great job with this site. He does this on his own free time, and besides trying to work, fish, and guide, he gives us all this info. It is too bad that you guys do not appreciate all he does for us. He has taught me how to fish this lake, and where to go. Send him an E-mail, and he lets you know exactly what is going on.
Axl, I think this site rocks, and you are truly a class act. Remember for every bad apple on the tree, there is always 100 good ones, but we always tend to forget about those, and always remember the bad apples. Please continue to do what you do for us all, and keep up the great work. I am looking forward to seeing and meeting you on August 20th, as I know there a lot of others that will be there too. Continue to catch fish my friend, you are truly one of the elite on Bago, and others are just plain jealous of you. I wish I had one half of your knowledge, and could catch fish like you do. People like those just plain and simply P@@@ me off, sorry to curse, but it is true. You go well above and beyond what most do, and you should be praised once in awhile. I am also going to be booking a trip with you soon, so hopefully you can teach me even more on this great lake of ours. I need to check my schedule, but will contact you soon. Looking forward to fishing with you, and learning how you do it, day in and day out. Keep hope alive, and do not worry about those who doubt you, you are awesome.

The Lighthouse Anglers Fishing Club held their annual fishing tournament on Saturday, July 16. 20 teams consisting of club members and immediate family competed. The winning team had just over 17lbs in 6 fish. Trolling the mud was the method of choice by 90% of the field. All methods of fishing tactics were discussed after the tournament. This is a great club of 100 members that shares with everyone, new or old members. Please feel free to come to our next meeting as a guest or join the club. Our next club meeting is on the second Tuesday of the month at 7pm in Fond du Lac at the American Legion Hall.

A few boats out drifting the reefs. Started trolling North in 18'. Picked up three walleyes (16-17"ers) right away on crawler harnesses with two colors of leadcore. Should have worked that area over but decided to to troll back to the Outer Bar. Nothing but Sheeps.

Fished the east shore on some small humps lately south of High Cliff. We've been having some great luck using small jigs ( I think they refer to them as sliders) or old Gapen fuzzy Grubs. Just enough crawler to cover the hook and fish em slow around the edges of the humps. All the fish have been large with a couple going 6-7 pounds plus.

Fished today with the Axlman and what a day it was. The three of us caught a three man limit and the Walleyes rainged from 15 inches to 18....we also caught 7 of the nicest Small Mouth Bass I have seen in years. The wind was really bad but Axl had us on fish all day.The man really knows how to fish a planer board in heavy chop. We caught most of the fish on a mix of Shad Raps and Wally Divers then Axl showed us how to jig on the wind swept reefs....The man is the real deal....finest Walleye guide I have ever fished with...he never stops trying...

Not much of a report. I was out last Saturday with a lot of small walleyes 10"-15" range and only one at about 17". 3rd reef was the hottest. Also had a nice smallie and a carp by the mouth along with a couple more small walleyes. Green jig (16oz.) and leech. Not much going on on the other reefs.

To my question. I have only fished in one tourney and would like to get in some more on Bago. Anyone have a list of them or know of ones that still have open spots. Probably just the smaller tourneys for this year. Thanks in advance. E-mail me if you would like. Wyn

Sorry for the late report, but I just got home last night sometime.
I fished Thrus, Fri, and Sat this past weekend. Did very well.

Thrusday my partner and I got 10 walleye trolling in the mud. We fished from 11-3:30 They were all 15.5-22 inches. Missed a lot of nice fish too.... they didnt seem to want the bait. You would get the fish halway to the boat to get the board off, and they would come off. Only caught 2 sheeps all day. Walleyes were high in the water column.

Friday we set out looking for some larger fish and we found them. We started about 10:30 and had our 10 fish by 3:30. The fish were feeding in the top 7ft in this spot as well. We combined the weight of our 6 biggest fish and it came to 21lbs. We had two 25's, three other fish over 20, and one 19 incher. The other fish we kept to eat were from 14.5-17. Very nice day to be out on the water.

Saturday we were in a tournament and didn't do too well. We had 8.78lbs for six fish. We couldnt get any big fish for some reason. Very frustrating. We trolled the same spot we fished Friday and couldnt keep the sheeps off of the line. If we would have had a repeat of Friday we would have taken 2nd place. O well, maybe next year.

Will be going up again Thursday or Friday and will be fishing all next week. I will report when I return. Good luck. Brett

Hello,

I am a new member that joined last week. I fish usually 3-5 days a week mainly from Garlic Island in the north to Long Point in the south. Axl told me that this club hangs out on channel 68, I was on there this week and noticed most people at least that are talking are on the north end. Not sure if anyone is on the south end but if so my handle is Zelda. I was out on Rasmussens on Sat a.m. with that SE wind I picked up four with the biggest 19 on blue #5 shap. I will be out in the mouth of Fox in Oshkosh tonight, with the west wind I have a spot that produced well in the past. Call me out if you are on the radio.

Tried the reef north of the river channel at menasha and picked up a small northern on a crawler. Very slow and the water is cold. The strong west wind didn't help as it was hard to really slow down the bait. A very slow steady retrieve is wha took all the smallies.

Went to LBDM, ended up at Sunset Park, with SEVERAL other boats. Action slow, caught three males 14-16 inches. Saw about 6 others caught by all other boats, and I watch. All were males caught that I saw. They come in bunches if they come at all. Middle of the day fishing, left at 4pm, put in 3 hours.

Out last night with my son near the clay banks. Still a bit early but I was hoping to get lucky. Water is very clear so I wasn't expecting much until the sun went down. I had to split just as the sun was setting because my son decided to take a swim in the minnow bucket so we ended up with nada.
