In the first 30 minutes we had 5 but then after we picked up my buddy from jefferson, we really had to work for the next 7. We where doing just like you told us, but after a while we had to drift and that is what gave us the last 2. One thing that I found is that the walleye don't like to bit after the sun goes down or 8:30p.m. you my get a few but it doesn't seem worth it because you can't see your line or anything.
