I am going to suggest a rather personal /sensitive issue (but as a trained traditional medical practitioner, I have to be unbiased and clear about it): have a medical check-up done by your doctor. I was wondering if hormonal upsets may have also contributed to your depression. Females are especially vulnerable to it during menopausal periods. Males do have it too, albeit not so visibly noticeable.

Spiritually, all of us are growing all the time. I may be basically a Buddhist (strictly speaking, Buddhism is not a religion but more of a philosophical system of belief), but it is also my stand that as long as we have Love in our heart, the Evil one cannot fool us because God is Love!

For the reason that God is a Loving Being, I do not quite agree to those who try to preach religion in a manner that instil lots of guilt feelings to anyone. No one of His children should be lost to the so-called "hell and brimstone" style of preaching. If God so love the world that he gave even His only Son to save us all (the well-known John 3:16 verse), then we would be seriously doubting God if we also allow "condemning authorities" to create fear in us. I would think that only the "prince of darkness" need to resort to such unloving tactics.
