Dear Denise,

Grades in school are not indicative of intelligence. It was not until I went to college and then to the university that I got good grades and became an honors student. Many very intelligent people do quite poorly in school. Look at Einstein and math. It is reported that he even failed math. The nuns constantly told me I was stupid. They also told my cousin she was lazy and stupid. My cousin is far from being stupid. She has dyslexia. She took special classes and now reads very well. Although it is fun to take some of the intelligence tests online, they are not really an accurate barometer of a person's intelligence, And some of them can make you feel as though you are really not very intelligent at all. What is intelligence? It is not what I call parrot knowlege. That knowledge you learn such as vocabulary and multiplication tables. It is your ability to learn and to adapt what you learn to any given situation. And as you know, there are various types of intelligence. This falls under the category of apptitude. You may score very high in math and science whereas I would score very low in math. But I may score very high in languages and the arts whereas you would not score as high.

Love And Blessed Be,
Theresa
