Thank you very much for the very lovely compliment. Right back at ya! :-) I am sure you have come across a lot of wackos. So have I. Pagan communities get their share of nutty nuts just as Christians get their share of fanatics. We have them for different reasons. Many of these people came to Paganism mistakenly thinking we were all about free love and having the power to control other people. They think we will teach them how to make someone love them. That we will teach them spells to have control over others. They are quite disappointed when they learn being Pagan is not easy. It is a very difficult path. And they are really taken aback when we tell them that it is very wrong to do any spell to make any person love you or to attempt to control a person in any way. It is all right to bring love into your life. But it is not all right to make a particular person fall in love with you by such means. And then there are those so-called Pagans who love to brag about how much power they think they have. Some would-be Pagans call themselves satanists. Even people who are really satanists will tell you Pagans and satanists are not the same. Satanists are life-negating people. Their rule is to be selfish. True Pagans are life-affirming people who do their best to help the environment and to make the world around them a better place. And isn't that what we are all doing? It does not matter what spiritual path you follow. As long as it is one of the Light, you will be doing just that. Making the world around you a better place.
