Too bad, I cannot be there to nurse you and husband back to health. But the healing thoughts are still there. Ya, over here, Valentine Day is more for romantic purposes, not so much for friendship. Perhaps, it has been over-commercialised such that the gentlemen are expected to bring their ladies for a dinner and follow up with a bouquet of roses. And yes, over here, close body contact (kisses, hugs) are reserved for a confirmed courting partner or a spouse only. Any other person involved will attract wagging tongues and distorted rumours. I am enjoying the close friendship I have with her. It is so honest and open. You know our culture... not many are that open with their feelings, especially between people of different gender.
