I strongly rely on doctors to advise and diagnose and preform surgery, but I think that is all they are good for.

My GYN told me I might have a viral infection 2 years ago. She did not take a blood test, nor did she prescribe me anything because GYN will not cover it. She advised me to go to her doctor who i did go to. I could not even get in the door there were so many people.

That is when i did a web search and found that echinacea and goldenseal were excellent anticeptics antibiotics for viral infections.

I can only tell you that this was my experience, and I am glad this happened because I get bad reactions to antibiotics prescribed. I usually never use them anyway.
