Yes, is some confusion. I do not think the 2 are the same though many think they are.

Swami Rama points to this Baba as a siddha of the himalayas and a friend of his guru Bengali Baba. He says our Babaji and Bengali baba were chelas of some master at mt. Kailas. I doubt it.

Roy Davis for some years put photos of this baba (heriakan) in his books and said it was our Babaji--or reputed to be. Last 5 years he has retracted this and the photos. This baba was no doubt great and in the himalayan circle of masters.
