[> I read the first three or four of the Outlander series several years ago--they're not new, but it hasn't been all that long. The first one was great, and the next couple were very good, but eventually they got tedious--they were very long. As a rule, I don't like book to screen adaptations, I think because I picture them in my head a certain way, and then the screen version seems "wrong."" -- Deemus, 21:02:47 08/19/14 Tue [1]

[> [> That is what I meant when I said i couldn't believe I missed the books when they came out. The concept of the story is so intriguing, I'm looking forward to seeing how the books unfold this story. I usually like books better, your imagination usually beats anything that could be made into a movie, but I'm glad to see this series. Time will tell if its good as it looks. -- mkim, 22:04:24 08/20/14 Wed [1]

[> my husband liked it so we watched them the other night when they reran them - I found it rather interesting but when I read ahead to a synopsis of sorts - I think it's going to be too 'realistic' for me - I like my history a little on the lighter fare - but the first two episodes were extremely well done! -- chris k, 00:43:30 08/22/14 Fri [1]

[> LOved these books when they came out twenty years ago, so to say I'm excited about this is an understatment! I love the casting, too. I eagerly await each new episode. It has already been renewed for a second season. -- manette, 23:00:50 09/11/14 Thu [1]
